Mate, me and my five mates had the privilege of watching her live in Frankfurt Germany on Saturday gone, all of us from Liverpool England and all EVERTONIONS had the most amazing experience of witnessing the greatest FEMALE ARTIST on the PLANET, these music reaction videos absolutely don't do her justice, just experience her live performances, she had the audience pumped up the second she stepped on stage, shes just a different class of ARTIST, it will be a long long time before we get to see the likes of this magnificent woman again, shes a once in a lifetime experience 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️

For me, this is the best version she's done. She had previous gigs this day and she was suffering through a cold. In her YT channel, you can see her downing some cough medicine before she stepped onto the bus. Lol. For me, this is the most powerful version she's done. Physically, I feel like this tells the story so much more. Man! She's just something else. I feel like even when she does covers, she makes it her own and I almost always prefer Mori's versions than the original.

That was one very vocally demanding big song. She should take care of her voice and have regular checkups with her gynecologist to check for nodules in her vocal chords.

Morissette likes to back away from the mic when she lets loose, to avoid overloading the microphone -- it is not an exact science. A very smart singer.

Dr Dan, Love your reactions and comments. however, It's always best to experience and react to our Queen Mori in a "blind" 1st time viewing instead of previewing the performances before posting. It provides a much better opinion and less biased overall reaction. Mori will never disappoint her reactors or fans. In this video, she was ill and only at about 70% and still nailed it.

Our Morissette had to take meds to do this performance since she was ill days before.

Thank you once again, Dr. Dan, for featuring Morissette once again, with her powerful, breathtaking performance of "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" live on the Wish Bus. Although she is not the original singer of this song, she has stamped her signature squeaks on it, that her version became viral and trending, moreso because it was a part of the soundtrack of a Philippine TV drama series. And because Mori's rendition was so popular, she was made to perform it in various occasions, in duets with some of the Philippines' finest singers like Regine Velasquez, Sheryn Regis, and Jona Viray. I agree with you, Mori is "in the zone" when she performs, and it is evident in this Wish Bus appearance, from the beginning the moment she closed her eyes, she was already internalizing, and gearing up for the explosive moments during the highlight of the song, she is so well connected, she meant every word she was singing, belting with passion and conviction, and we felt it. Definitely one of the best she has done on the Wish Bus. 🥰

Hey Dr. Dan. Yes, Morissette is fully aware of the toll singing some of these songs is taking on her vocal longevity. She has conquered some of the most difficult songs in the world and is now shifting her focus on an upcoming EP of original songs and on taking care of her vocal health. She promised that she would keep on 'belting' (which is important to Filipino audiences) but that she would scale back the fireworks (so to speak).

Of course I love all of the squeaks and growls(most newer performances have very little of this), but my favorite part of this performance is the self-soothing motion of her thumb right at the end. She feels like no other.

Great explanation, two questions… Why did you classified yourself as a tenor not alto, although your prima voce is closer to the alto range??? And if we decide to classify our voices based on the vocal range not on the prima voce, why do we need to find our prima voce in this exercise???

As a voice teacher, it makes me so relieved to hear an expert like this use phrases and terminology that I've been using with my students...but now I know more about why those things are important.
